What is laser therapy?
Low-level laser therapy is a form of light treatment which is used to treat Androgenetic Alopecia or common hair loss in men and women. This is also called red light therapy, cold laser, soft laser therapy. The therapy is approved by US-FDA. In this treatment a laser light with low wavelength is delivered to the scalp. The laser rays are absorbed by the hair follicle without heating the target tissue.
This therapy can be provided through different types of devices like "comb" ,"brush", "caps" and larger delivery systems like "LASER DOME " or "Helmet". This is not a standalone therapy for hair loss and should be used in combination with other treatments.
What is Treatment Like?
This is a Non Surgical Treatment which lasts for about 4- 7 months. In this therapy the patient is required to come to the clinic weekly once. Each session lasts for about 30 minutes during which the patient has to sit wearing a LASER DOME and they are free to watch movies or read magazines.
